OUR SERVICES
Hello, my name is Dave Harper, I am the proprietor of D&S Southern Comfort BBQ. I would like to tell you a little bit about what we do, and how we do it. We are a young company with a lot of experience. My Chef Jenn has 14 years experience, my Floor Manager, Cheryll has 21 years experience, and I myself have about 10 years.

Our love for barbeque knows no bounds, with that in mind, at every cook we strive for perfection and are dedicated to delicious BBQ. Our specialty is Texas-style BBQ, and we dabble in Carolina-style BBQ. It's all delicious.

Our restaurant can seat 250 people inside, and another 50 on our outdoor patio deck. For your catered event, we can entertain you with your very own customized buffet menu, or you can select your own meal off our menu. You will find several buffet menu choices on the catering menu page. You may also choose to have your catered event "in house", or at your chosen destination!

Our equipment is based around Southern Pride Ovens/Smokers, easily the best BBQ equipment on the market, pricey but perfect. We also have a 20 kw generator to generate our own electricity for the cooking, so there is no electric bill increase for the homeowner because of our services. We are completely self-contained, and can work autonomously without any extra expense to the homeowner or organization. It also means that we can go anywhere, even if there is no power at all!! How many companies can do that?! We also have large refrigerators installed in our truck to keep the food cold at all times, food handling safety is a priority at all times.

Our food is cooked fresh. Using the utmost care, we find this makes the best BBQ, tender and juicy ribs (pork and beef), roasts of all kinds, whole turkeys, chickens, briskets (which requires 10-18 hours of cooking). It's a bit of a show, and our Executive Chef would love to talk all aspects of food and food preparations while there, she's really a cheerful person.

Some of our sides are made ahead of time, but those things tastes better when the flavours are allowed to marry. It's not for convenience that we make them ahead of time, everything is better tasting when the flavours have had a chance to mingle together.

Our kitchen is a fully functioning trailer-kitchen. We are completely self-contained and mobile for all your food adventures. We have experience doing a party for 20 to 1,000 people. We might be able to entertain more, but this is what we can handle with professionalism and more importantly, with courtesy. We believe in the future as more equipment is purchased and we will be able to handle larger functions.
